what are some things that can ruin my iphone?

is it ok if i can rub my iphone with my shirt or Pillow case too clean it if i dont have the cloth that came with it?
Is it ok if the screen or the shiny parts of he iphone have the fog on it like sort of can u guys tell me more about it?
