What are the four tenets of karate?

I didn't this is my first time asking this question,BTW if i had asked this i would have asked again in the same account, i always do.
Get your facts straight.
i Don't make these up, my instructor asked me these things and i have to explain them.

that depends upon the style
tenets can be considered similar to the dojo kun and each style has a different set, shotokan has 5 goju ryu has 7, shito ryu has 5 isshin ryu has 6,
it all depends upon your style

this more sounds like a home work assignment which you should be doing yourself

In my 36 years of Karate, I have never heard of "four tenets".

Tenets are principle truths. There are much, much more than 4 principle truths in karate.
