What are the graphical capabilities of an iPad in terms of commercial gaming?

Theoretically could an iPad handle and play without lag Counter Strike Source?
Where about would it fall short (e.g. what game would be the limit of its capabilities)?
Im guessing It wouldn't be able to play Modern Warfare...
