What are the odds of being busted for using Torrent sites to download movies?

I have a friend who uses them all the time: when or how long or how many poplular movies will it take for him to be fined or go to jail? Is there a reward for turning him in?
 
My brother and sister did exactly that.

They wanted to watch movies, so they downloaded them illegally. They watched movies illegally for about 2 months until my mom got a warning email.

We couldn't use our internet until my sis and bro undownloaded the movies they had watched.
 
I have downloaded thousands of dollars worth of programs not to mention the extraordinarily number of movies and I haven't even gotten a warning yet. I have a few friends who download even more than I do. Nothing. Like everyone does it. He'll be fine.
 
not sure. I just watch them. not dumb enough to download them in case a virus is encoded in it.

why would you even take that risk?
 
torrents suck. theyre slow as hell, look for direct downloads from forums or websites which guarantee good quality. www.phazeddl.com is a website worth checkin out.
