...license/permit, complete a course etc)? I'm interested in traveling to Maine for my February break and I'm planning on renting a snowmobile and exploring some of the trails in the area. What do I need in order to do this? I'm 21 years old and have a valid drivers license, would that be enough? I've checked the state laws but they seem to pertain to owning and registering a snowmobile, not the credentials required for operating a rental. Would I need a snowmobile license or permit or have to complete a snowmobile safety course beforehand or anything? I've never owned or operated a snowmobile before so I don't have much of an idea of what I'd be doing but snowmobiling is something I'd like to get into and I have to start somewhere.
