You have to fast for blood tests, doh! I was never told. I've just had a urea electrolyte and liver function test. but I ate a breakfast of fruit and boiled eggs before it. Have I ruined the test?
Just snacked through about 5 flat donut peaches.
Jeez that almost sounds sexual. But hey don't worry I rubbed off the fuzz first so they were bald flat donut peaches.
Some people regret not making up with a relative on their death bed. Others regret not asking that special girl out only to see them go off with one of your friends. Some regret doing that something something that changed something forever.
However, there is no bigger regret than snack regret...
ok... I've just come back from the market where I bought Manchego (Iberian sheeps milk cheese) and Danish blue cheese to accompany a nice boule of Pain De Campaign.
However that's not what I'm snacking on...
I picked up some Japanese soba (buckwheat noodles)... and some wakami (dried seaweed) mixed with bits of dried katsuobushi flakes (bonito fish - almost like a small tuna). I already had a container of akamiso (soybean soup stock) in the fridge. I also threw in an egg and a handful of Chinese choy sum (a vegetable almost like spinach).
Boil the water... throw in the bonito/wakami/seasalt/miso.... boil for 3-4 minutes... add the soba noodles for a few minutes more and switch off the heat... immediately toss add one egg and stir... the heat is enough to cook the egg.
It's got to be the quickest and cleanest tasting bowl of noodles that you can make! No preservatives... no artificial colors or flavors... just good clean asian food.
Here's a bowl of soba that looks very similar to what I made:
I dont think I would appreciate the water in the noodles. Straying off snacks. Last night I had steak but I fried it with onions and tamarind pulp, damn that was tasty.
