What are you goals for the future?

I plan to graduate from college next spring, work for a 2 or 3 years in the social work field, go to graduate school for a masters in social work, and then continue my work in the field. I would love to attend graduate school somewhere in southern California, but seeing as how I am from the east coast and all my immediate family and best friends are here, I am not sure that will happen. It has been a dream of mine for a while to live out in California for a while now, preferably around the LA area, but anywhere in southern California would be fine by me. I hope to stay close with my family and friends no matter what, and I hope to meet some amazing new people. I just broke up with a guy so I do not have any interest in dating again now, but hope to meet some nice new men down the road, and maybe find someone I can be myself around and have a good time with.
To address a suggestion made by someone who answered my question, I am only taking time off between college and graduate school to make some money to help pay for graduate school. I am sick of relying on my parents for money all the time and want to earn some myself. I know they would happily help me out with graduate school tuition, but I want to be able to contribute as well.

To answer your main question, I am currently living in LA, studying dentistry, and plan on especializing in orthodoncy once I finsih general dentistry in four years. I would also like to leave a small advice for you: don't leave school for work if you really plan on going to graduate school. Why not finish school first, get your desired degree, and then get down to work? From my personal experience, I feel I am losing my studying potentials every single year that passes on; although, I'm still pulling up one of the highest grades in every single class. I can't imagine how I could get down to studying again after leaving school for three years. Good luck in LA though. I have lived in Europe, East coast, and west coast, and never loved anywhere more than LA. I'm sure you will love here.

well i was going to school for nursing. i have a year left to become an RN and i just found out that the nursing program at my college isnt accredited since it is just brand new. sucks right?? so now im going to get my associates in medical assisting because i can be done before december and ill do that for a while to get some money saved up. then ill go on finally and get my bachelors degree in nursing instead of the associates degree i originally started out going for. then ill probably move away from where i live now to the beach. ill have a nice beach house and all will be well in my little world. =]
