Fantasy sports have become very popular throughout the past decade and I enjoyed playing them (football, basketball, baseball) years back. However, it became too time-consuming for me as I became busier.
One of the joys about playing fantasy sports is that you learn about many players who do not get enough recognition (small market teams, playing on teams across the country).
However, I think that fantasy sports has placed too much emphasis on statistics. It is true that numbers don't lie, but people are starting to believe that statistics is everything. Unfortunately, some people judge players solely based on statistics rather than bother watching them play.
My question is simple,
Are fantasy sports good or bad for the sport? Please explain.
