I appreciate they have raised a load of money for comic relief but did we really need it relentlessly rammed down our throats every day on the radio, tv and in the papers to delude us all into thinking that the likes of Chris 'lard' Moyles are putting their lives on the line for charity when they had a huge back up crew of over 90 people!?
Do you honestly believe it was done out of their warm and kind generosity for charity or was it a bit of very convenient publicity for them especially Alesha Dixon, Chris Moyles, Ben Shepherd, Denise Van Outen and Fearne Cotton. I do not need to be told/guilt tripped into making donations by some idiotic celebs being nursed up a mountain.
Your thoughts?
Cheers.
Lucinda L - About what exactly?
As someone has said, it is us, the TV licence payer who has footed most of the bill for this publicity stunt.
And I choose when, where and how to donate to charity any time of the year so do not need to dress up silly or get sponsored laying in a bath of custard for comic relief, all of the celebs involved in comic relief do it for their own shameless benefit in my opinion.
Also, I would love to do something like this myself and if the British public paid for me and a small army to go up I would jump at the chance, for me, not for publicity.
