the film is about a scientist who does an experiment that goes wrong,
and ends up in a parallel universe,
where he is a sci-fi writer and is married to the girl of his dreams (which he missed out on in his real life),
he was introduced to his wife by her uncle who is a book publisher (hence being a sci fi writer in the alt. universe)
the only other clue i have is that his wife has a really strange name (possibly starting with "P" )
