I lift weights 3 times a week and have been for a while now. I max about 200 pounds on bench and I'm just wondering what kind of other things can I do on days that we don't practice to help improve those points? I've started to squat (used to only work upper body when I lifted), but I'm wondering what other exercises I could do improve the sprinting speed / endurance? I'm looking to incorporating plyos into my workout but I'm not sure what a good workout would be for that.
Also what would be a good level to be at in terms of endurance (how fast you can run a mile, 2 miles, etc) if I'm interested in trying out for Varsity Soccer next year (high school)? Also how would I go out achieving that endurance? (how often to run/how long/how much on days we don't have practice)
Are there any little things I can do that will help my ball control/passing in general that could be done in a short amount of time or without having to go outside/have a partner?
