What can I use as a shutter release for my Canon if my camera doesn't have

a place for an n3? I recently bought a shutter release for Canons but it requires an n3 plugin. I don't know what I can do.

Buy a new camera with N3
OR
Get the correct shutter release for your camera
OR
Live without one.

You bought the incorrect remote shutter release.

Go on line to the Canon website and look up your camera. Then look under Supplies and Accessories for the correct remote shutter release.

Return the wrong remote shutter release and get the right one

Had you mentioned the Canon model you have we could have helped in a more complete way
