What can you do on a romantic vacation to Rio De Janerio?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 5 years. I am 20, she is 19.
My mom is going on a business trip for a few weeks and my dad has been transferred to California from his job because he has this big idea for small kids against cancer.
And that's when I got the chance to ask her if me and my girlfriend could go on a romantic vacation that we have been planning for months. Since school ended last Friday, she said, "Since it's summer break, I guess I would let you have some that with that special someone."
She help me pay a quarter of the price for the flight.
So I told my girlfriend on the phone and she was super excited.
We packed our bags, got our clothes, and off we went.
Two days later was the day of the flight. We took off on an "United Airlines" plane and we were finally on our way. Me and my girlfriend talked about our personal life on the way, and several hours later, we finally made it. Guess where we went? We went to Rio De Janeiro in Brazil.
We went there because we heard of the movie Rio, and we searched up the city, and it has a lot of me and my girlfriend's type of animals. Birds. There were all kinds of birds. Beautiful, colorful, cute birds. Now here is the question. When we arrived, we didn't know what to do. I am in our rental beach side house thinking of what we should do. Should we go explore and see what we can do? Or go ahead have see the all the kinds of birds they have and go hang gliding?

Things to do in Rio de Janeiro:
- Handglide if the weather is good
- Go up the Sugar Loaf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugarloaf_M… (at sunset it's the most romantic)
- Visit the Christ the Redeemer statue

- Visit the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Barra da Tijuca.
- Visit the city center and have a coffee at Confeitaria Colombo
- Party at night at Rio Scenarium or any other place at Lapa

or, if you have enough money, you can leave the city of Rio de Janeiro and head to a super romantic island resort on the south of Rio de Janeiro State called Ilha Grande or go to Angra dos Reis.

Be sure no never wonder at night alone, or wonder off without destination or go to the north part of Rio because you don't want to go where it's dangerous.
