thumbdrive or another blank DVD? I am using my laptop to fix a friends' netbook and have got a USB DVD Rom drive. I am looking for perhaps a Linux live CD operating system that will alow me to load up from the CD/DVD and copy all her files before having to reinstall windows due to a virus infection. I have tried Damn Small Linux and LIMP both of which I was somewhat familiar with but did forget that they can't access windows files from computers running XP home with NTFS File System. I'd rather not lose all her files so I'm asking the great combined knowledge of yahoo answers for a solution and would rather not open the computer up to get the hard drive out as I don't have a second 2.5" port on my laptop.
