What differences are there between the English and American humour?

I've noticed, that in England, we are pretty sarcastic, and we can take a joke more! and it seems as though when we do say sarcastic things, then its clearly sarcastic!

And like, i've spoken to American people before, and tried to do their accent, just for fun, and because I like it, and it sometimes seems to offend them, and they think im making fun of them!
But when I hear Americans trying to do an English accent, I dont get offended at all!

Whereas, sometimes, they have said things to me, and i've thought they was serious, but they was actually joking!

I dunno, its wierd haha!
So what are some differences?
