what diseases can one get from a dog scratch.....?

my dog always scratches me playfully but not hard cause i always get white lines on my leg and foot but his nails never penetrate my skin as i never feel stingy or the scratch mark is never red.....i think that the white lines donot count as dog scratches....but nyways im just curious wot diseases can one get from dog scratches...thanks

Rabies. But I don't think you really have to worry about that if its a family pet!

not really diseases but you can get an infection so make sure you clean any wound thoroughly and use peroxide it is bad to kill the germs.

should be fine. if the dog did manage to scratch through the skin. should clean it. who knows how many bacteria and viruses are on dogs feet and nails. make sure your dog doesnt have rabies

i work at a vet clinic and get scratched all the time. The raised white skin is just from a minnor injury, they always go away really fat.

I guess if a dog scratched ya really hard and broke the skin it could get infected if not cleaned with alcohol or peroxide. I always clean my scatrches off at work by washign them and then cleaning them and watching them.
