I have a 2000 Lincoln LS and I have a flat on my drivers side rear tire. I went to take the tire off and two came off nicely. Two others are just spinning and you fell this little bump about every quarter to half turn. Someone said it might be the stud just spinning. Tire is still on. How do I get the lug nuts off? Can I put the other two back on, tighten them and drive to a tire place? Obviously very slowly.

i wouldnt recommend driving it you'll bend the wheel. ive had this happen a couple of times and i just take a breaker bar and a socket the size of the lug nut and just tighten them until the studs snap off then replace the studs.

im thinking that the stud on the back of the disc has stripped and is spinning freely, try and look behind the wheel disc as someones turns it and see if u can find it, if thats it just grab a pair of channel locks and try to grab on to it. if you cant see anything then just tighten the others on and make sure your tire is tight on there and drive slowly to the repair shop.

i hope this helped you at all.
goodluck.
