what do i do if in a conversation with someone who thinks they are funny,, and

tries to make jokes of? everything? they arent bring rude but they think they are cute/funny.... but i am not laughing and am tired of fake smiling.
 
Stop smiling. Don't laugh, and certainly don't encourage. After that you can only hope they'll stop.
 
It sounds like they might be hiding something.........insecurity; who knows. Tell them not to try so hard. And also try to get them to relax and maybe take on more profound subject material. Good luck.
 
ask them to stop that you do not find any of that funny. excuse yourself and leave if they don't stop.
 
If you can excuse yourself, it might be best as everyone has very different sense of humor. my grown daughter and I have VERY different senses of humor, so unless you have to be with this person, I would just say " I have to go"
