What do I need to know to make my first iOS app?

I have always had an interest in gaming, mostly PC, but ill start with where the money's at and make an iOS app. I have no experience with programming but I do know a lot about computers and I think I could give it a shot. What type of program should I get to creat this thing? I have steam game maker the free version but that's not going to get me very far I don't think. What's everything I should know and what should I start with and what program should I get?
