What do the nation who helped japan get?

I'm wondering if the nations get anything in return other than more kindness from japan if we helped. I'm not asking because I'm trying to be greedy or anything but I'm writing a paper so i want to know all the facts so i don't write anything false like '...and the US is getting money for helping Japan AND the satisfaction of helping them too.' or anything. Plz reply with your answers ASAP thanks
