what do you do when someone asks to meet you online?

ok first of all this isnt me
this is my cousin
i have this cousin and she told me that she's been talking to this guy for two days
he sent her a friend request on myspace or facebook (i forgot which site it was)
and im-ed her and kept calling her cute or whatever (lol wtf)
and they started talking about stuff
and they happen to go live in the same city but hes a year or two years (again i forgot) older than her
and so the second day she talked to him which is today,
he told her he wanted to meet her and she told me that all she said was
"yeah, one of these days" so it didnt sound like she was turning him down
and now he has the wrong message and says he wants to meet her
and she told me that he said
that his dad is leaving this weekend and she should come to his place

(now before you start,i dont think shes going to meet him because i dont think she believes in it)
(i hope..lol)

now first of all,i think this guy is up to no good but im not really sure
and she told me all this so i think she needs help
so...
help? lol
lol i dont think shes meeting him at all
however im not really sure
i just think she wants to turn him down in a nice way

Some of my greatest friends are my online friends, but it's been years since we have first met and we all know who each other is. We talk on Skype, we all have seen each other on webcam, we are such great friends with each other. We trust each other, and we know who each other is. I plan on meeting one in a few months, we talk daily and again, we know who each other is.

Your situation on the other hand, has only been two days. This guy knows nothing about your cousin and your cousin knows nothing about her. All your cousin has seen was text on a screen. Has she ever heard his voice? Seen him on webcam? Or at least seen a picture of what he claims to look like? Try having both of them make a Skype account or some other sort of voice / webcam interaction first, and definitely don't plan on meeting him so soon; things like this should be planned over time.

Not everyone on the internet is out to get you. But you always, ALWAYS have to be careful.

Um if you're getting a bad vibe/feeling about this person like me maybe you should tell him you don't want to meet up and/or stop talking to him.
