I drive a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. When I stop my car I usually brake well in advance of my stopping point because if I brake too late I might rear-end the car in front of me. When I step on the brake I get this vibrating feel. I called anyone of the Ford places and they told me that is the ABS braking system and the vibrating feel is a result of the power fluding pumping something or whatever. What is power fluid?

Do you have ABS brakes & do u brake well in advance too? How do u react to it?

if your talking about your pedal vibrating, it is normal.

because what ABS does is adjust your brake fluid pressure so you don't give too much to prevent the wheels from locking up. so its actually reducing and increasing pressure (pulsating the brakes) to prevent lock up.

my parent's car's don't have abs and i do brake in advance of course. but when approaching red lights, i just let the vehicle coast untill i really need to brake. because there's no sence keeping your foot on the gas when your gonna stop anyways. plus, when you coast, your car slows down so you save your brakes. sometimes if you coast, you wouldn't have to stop cause the light turns green, so you save even more!!!
