Why can't we put restrictions on intentional breeding of dogs like labradoodles and puggles and cockapoos? Breeders are good for keeping breeds strong and intact, but why would you intentionally breed mutts when there are millions of mutts dying in shelters every year? Even if they do make good pets, who is to say that the dog in the shelter is any worse? It really sickens me that people will breed mutts to make money all the while fully knowing that there are mutts right now who are alive and need homes so desperately. Does anyone else wish there were more legal restrictions on breeding mutts (and maybe intentional breeding in general)? It breaks my heart that so many great pets die homeless and alone, and designer breeders ensure that they will continue to do so.
