As long as the rivalry doesn't get emotional, I think it only makes the games more fun... aaaand, I honestly cannot guess who will win. I think both teams have a good shot.

Mexico will win it 2-0.
It's really hard to win with a team that its not use to an altitude so high, smog and 114,000 thousand people chanting "MEXICO, MEXICO" and singing "Cielito Lindo" at the top of their lungs....

both teams will have their best players and it will be the ultimate test for both teams!

I honestly believe the rivalry started to get intense once the US started beating Mexico and eliminating them from the World Cup back in 02. Mexico used to always beat USA and although it was a rivalry it was really not that much of a big deal as the US squad was not that great compared to what it is now. Go to FIFA.com and see all the matches between the US and Mexico. You will see how many games Mexico has beaten the US and some scores where worse than the 5-0 in the Gold Cup. Now that the US has the MLS and is starting to get some type of recognition. Many US players are playing in Europe thus giving them the experience they need to become a better team. Mexico has yet to beat the US here in American soil (they have but after 2000 they have not. Gold cup both teams did not have their starters) and the US has never beaten Mexico in Mexico period. So it will always be, who can beat who on their own soil.
