Especially regarding politics?

I think they've got that "crying baby" mentality. "Do this and this for me or I'll be a bad boy."
But on the personal/general side, I think Iran is quite amazing. I've a good friend from Iran. He's a really gentle guy with great sense of humor, everybody, except for extreme conservatives, love that guy. He also said that most Iranians are embarrassed of their government unnecessarily trying to disrupt the world peace.

What's your opinion?

thats how it is with a whole bunch of peoples, take the chinese for instance, have the wierdest "oppression" (more like wierd laws) but many of them are really chill, the governments in all the world where it isnt a real democracy doesnt even vaguely represent the people
a list of places where i think this applies, please add to it since im not (obviously) knowledgeable in all countries,
saudi arabia
syria
lebanon
china
north korea(never met anyone from there but...)
russia (its changed recently somewhat...)
pakistan
afghanistan (this one is a major definetly)

Iran is really a Jeckyll and Hyde state - the secular part of it is elected, stable and sensible. the Theocracy has ultimate power, is unstable and frankly, insane.
