THE GENESIS OF THE WORLD OF ANTEL IS NOT KNOWN.
All that we know is that, Antel came into being countless millions of years ago, and that its people, the immortal elves, the mortal men, the Beast People, and the various rare races, were created by people from the stars, who settled in the Wall Land and became known as the Makers and were revered by all the races of Antel.
When the Makers came, they discovered a portal in the southern part of the Bright Lands, surrounded by a great desert, and they are forever vigilant of making sure that dark entities do not escape this desert and corrupt the people and lands of Antel.
The Makers elected the Allit Elf tribe, of the Great Island between the Great and South Seas, to assist the Makers in keeping watch on the Portal of Darkness, and training warriors so that, if need be, and dark beings from the Antiverse escaped the Ruined Lands around the Portal, they could combat them and prevent them from spreading sin and tragedy throughout Antel.
Gebro, the Queen of the Makers, chose Cyrin, the humblest Allit who had the greatest love for his people and Creation, to be King of the Great Island, and the Island Kingdom was born. The Allit thus became known as the High Elves, and were welcome guests in the Wall Land, where many of them settled.
Millennia passed following the creation of the People of Antel and the crowning of Cyrin, and the world was wonderful and full of nothing but love, bliss and fun. Life had a child-like, passive, light quality to it, and Antelian consciousness was young and sweet.
This all changed in the year 5988 of the Cyrinean age, when an entire nation of Dark Beings came through the Portal and the Makers were not able to drive all of them back. The Island Kingdom found itself in a state of war through their oath to the Makers, and entire populations of mortal men shifted to the Dark Allegiance.
Cyrin swore to camp in the Bright Lands permanently, for "1000 years or however long it takes to drive back the Dark Allegiance". On his way there, his dear daughter, the beautiful princess Kyra Melisa, was kidnapped by pirates, mortals working for the Queen of Dansbruck, starting a battle between The Island Kingdom and Dansbruck and its alliance in the Misty Lands.
The Queen of Dansbruck would give Kyra Melisa back only if Cyrin would surrender to the Dark Forces and give her the rulership of The Island Kingdom, for deep within the Island Kingdom, inside the Central Mountains in the heart of the Great Island, was Everlasting Lake, where a mortal could bathe and live "virtually forever". Cyrin dearly loved his daughter, and was going to betray the Makers, his people, and all the People of Antel for her sake, but Kyra Melisa spoke to him in a dream and assured him that even if the Queen of Dansbruck freed her, everyone in the world would perish soon after if The Island Kingdom surrended to the Dark Forces and allowed them to all move in to Antel.
Cyrin found himself in two battles, one around the Portal and one in mortal lands. It was not many years at all before nearly the entire world was either on the side of Cyrin and the Makers or on the side of the Queen of Dansbruck and the Dark Allegiance. The Island Kingdom, and indeed all the Elven nations of the world, saw great sorrow in these days, as an elf who is killed in Antel's soul will never incarnate in Antel again. The mortal nations also saw immense suffering.
Kalzan, the immortal, half-elf son of the Queen of Dansbruck, did not approve of the cruelty of his mother and his people, and though he still loved them despite this, he was also entranced by the stunning, smiley, dark haired and bright brown eyed Kyra Melisa, and wished to set her free and to be with her. He decided to sneak away with her to the Island Kingdom, and they rented a ship from the Port of Dansbruck City and set sail. Unfortunately, a strong wind pushed them to the shore of the Bright Lands, and they found themselves warriors in an epic battle against a horde of Dark Beings.
The command of Kalzan and the enchantment and power of Kyra Melisa turned the tide in favor of the Cyrin Alliance, and the Dark Forces were driven out, though their legacy of corruption put an unfortunate end to the peace Antel had seen in its earliest days of civilization, and most years had at least one war going on between men in the world. Cyrin and his Queen, Firana gave their blessing to Kalzan, and he and Kyra Melisa were married and were built a great estate on the west coast of the Island Kingdom. Kalzan's mother, once Cyrin's greatest enemy, was forgiven and vowed there would always be peace and love between the High Elves and her mortals.
The love of Kalzan and Kyra Melisa was said to be the greatest love ever experienced between two people in the entire history of Antel. They could often be found singing and playing music for each other, and wandering the Woods of Desran. Three years af
