What does avg on anime-planet mean?

Ok there is one thing i have never understood. What does avg on anime-planet.com mean? Like when you are searching for a special anime there are different ways they are sorted, like type, year, status. You get it. And one of those is avg, so i want to know what that is. And which one of them tells what animes who are most watched, or are most popular, have the highest rating. Thanks you in advance

Can you not tell? AVG would stand for Average in circumstances such as those.
Members would vote and the Mean would be made and that is your average.
BTW, mean is an average, not mean as in nasty.
