What does 'grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' mean when a person from the Philippines writes

that on chat? the number of 'r's can vary depending on severity. I imagine it means being a bit angry but as with 'Pasaway' and 'Makulit' I imagine it's probably a fairly playful word... not too serious maybe?
Anyone got a better answer than chels'?
