What does is mean when something is "refurbished"? TELUS MOBILITY WORKERS HELP!?

Okay, so I found a phone that I like from telus.

You can find it here: http://www.telusmobility.com/on/payandtalk/kit_samsung_a720.shtml

It says the phone is refurbished, and from what I know, that means it is a used phone that they have fixed up, correct? But what I want to know is, does that mean they clean the phone, and repair any scratches? Or do they simply take a used phone and swipe it?

Second, does anyone have this phone? What is your opinion on it? I think the outside is very cute, but how visually attractive is the programming i.e how are the themes and skins and ringtones on the phone?

Lastly, I know the phone is available in white, does Telus carry the white phone? Where can I purchase this phone?

Thanks for all your help guys!

a refurbished phone means a phone that someone else had but they either fixed it or it was still working. they might fix the scratches. the phone looks nice but unfortunately i don't have that phone. you can buy it at a lot of places i think!!!! ebay.com, overstock.com,or you can google it and see want websites it takes you to!!! hope it helps

With refurbished phones, it is used, but there are no scratches and everything is reset. Basically, it is a phone that is in great conditioned used, and then reset.

About the phone choice... Samsung is reliable, but if you are going to be doing ANYTHING besides calling, get a qwerty phone like the LG Voyager. I think qwerty's tend to be great, even for light texting.

Buying a refurb is a great way to save a few dollars. I've had a couple over the years with no problems.
