What Does The "B" Stand For On The Gear Shift of the Toyota Prius!?!?

My mom got a new toyota prius back in May and on the gear shift, one of the letters is B? We have come up with a few ideas on what it could mean. But still do not know? What does it stand for? Thank you! :)

Braking. When B is engaged the engine is used for a brake much as downshifting a conventional car does. It is less efficient than the D position, even during lift-throttle and pressing on the brake pedal. It is really only useful for long descents - more than about 2000 feet of vertical drop - to save on the friction brakes when the battery is fully charged by regeneration.
