seed of man? It says "And whereas you saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay."

(My personal opinion:I'm wondering if we humans used to be neanderthals but then were vistied by extraterriestrial beings and they mingled with us and changed how we look.
Maybe that would explain how there have been fossils of human skulls almost twice our skull size hundreds of years ago.
I'm beggining to believe that the angels were actually extraterriestrials.
The Bible doesn't depict angels in a certain way.
I am Christain by the way.)

What do you think?

This is an example of the things I just can't understand in the OT, no matter how I try to figure out what it means.

I have read a lot of commentaries on it, but they don't satisfy me all the way!

But, from what I understand of angels, they do not have gender! Like God.. spirits have no need of any gender, that is an earthly thing. So I don't see how the fallen angels would have come down, and been interested in women.

There is a lot in the OT I just don't "get".

This is referring to the dream of Nebuchadnezzer in which he saw a statue of various materials. Daniel explained what each one was - the head of the statue was Nebuchadnezzers kingdom of Babylon, then down through the centuries - Medo-Persians, Romans, etc all the empires.

The feet were a mixture of iron and clay - this signifies that there is not ONE superpower in the world, that there are several different powers in the world - which is true today - there is not ONE great superpower in charge of the world, there are several different kingdoms, powerhouse countries, etc.
Whereas before this, there were centuries where there was one powerhouse that pretty much ran the whole world.

Where it says they will mingle themselves with the seed of men - this means that people of different nations will mix with each other. This is true today - there are thousands of mixed raced couples, couples from other countries marrying, etc.

Divorce rates are extremely high today - as it says Iron does not mix with clay. This is what that means.

Today's world is the feet of the statue of Nebuchadnezzer's dream. Then he saw a rock strike the feet and crush the feet, which then made the statue fall and be crushed.

This is symbolic of Jesus returning. Jesus will return to earth, crush all current political systems that are on earth and reign on earth in his Kingdom here on earth forever. We will all be judged when he returns and those judged righteous will live in the Kingdom forever.
