what does the little video camera symbol mean on the dvd menu?

I have the philips dvd player dvp3140

every time i watch a movie now it flashes when it changes a section in the movie. a little video camera symbol with "1/2" or "1/2" comes up... its really annoying. If you go into the display settings and go to where it says repeat chapter it has the little video camera symbol but if u click it it says "not available at this time"

is there any way to stop it from doing it?

Who knows? Just slam your dvd player in the ground and BAM! Problem solved.
