What does this phrase "This reads in Stereo!" mean?

I got this from the movie "Beetlejuice" or it was close to this quote anyhow...when the people were reading the deadpeople's guide to being dead!
Anybody know what it means?
I have heard this before on other movies as well....
I still don't understand this phrase!
