It is a disgraceful communist tract. Niceness being more important than the benign forces of capitalist bankers. Encouraging fathers to spend time with their children. There should be a parental advisory for this subversive bit of commie propaganda.
So I know it's about a "magical nanny," but what was the point of it? Does anything happen? Or is it just sort of a story that supposed to provide escapism?
Like with Harry Potter, etc. Harry is fighting Voldemort and trying to "save the world." What is the situation and Mary Poppins?

I don't know if the book is differnt drom the movie, but the movie is about a magical nanny who brings a distant, workaholic father back in touch with his children.
