What fans seem to think that just because they picked up a few players, they will...

...win more games? I'm mainly talking about the Chiefs and the Redskins. You see questions like "can they win it all". The Cheifs will be a little bit better and the Redskins D will improve but come on.

I'm sure that some fans of the Cheifs and Redskins aren't like this so this question isnt bashing you just the people that are going crazy because they got Cassel or Haynesworth.

Do you agree?

Part of being a fan is not always being rational. Fans are always high on their own team, even if logic says not to get their hopes up (case in point: KC Royals fans have been on here lately expressing optimism even though the Royals are one of the worst-run teams in sports).

In the cases you specifically cite, the Redskins did look like the best team in the league for about three weeks last season. Then they went back to looking like the Redskins. In a tough division, Albert Haynesworth will not be the difference in them making the playoffs. They need more consistent play out of Jason Campbell and their O-line has to live up to the hype, and until those things happen the 'Skins will continue to disappoint.

The Chiefs have too many needs to think that one QB will change their fortunes. Yes, a good QB can make a huge difference, but unless they keep him upright (they have no o-linemen) and get him on the field (they have no defense), then Cassel will not be the impact player he looked like last season.

One player really can make a huge difference. Kansas city with a few more offensive players their offense could really pick up and play real well but they wil lneed some more...

Yah, everyone is getting a little crazy just cause a few player are joining teams that are probably going to have another rebuilding year.

The Redskins will be better since, no offense to him, but Haynesworth only plays for money and he really only thinks of himself, otherwise he wouldn't do one year contracts. I don't like him because of that, he's good, but he plays for money. He's worth like $100 (million) and he's trying to set a record for most expensive Defensive player (heard that form NFL.com). Cheers!
