What gadget can I use to write a novel/paragraph/something long?

I'm currently working on a novel but I'm trying to find a good gadget that's on the go. A small gadget that I can save word documents that I can probably use when I'm on the bus or away from the computer. Does anyone have an idea what gadget I can use rather than a phone?

I would say Ipad, I use mine to write all the time...it has amazing battery life, plus you don't have to wait for it to boot up when you have a quick idea to write.
