what genre is NOFX?? are they pop punk or do people consider them "real" punk??

what genre is NOFX?? are they pop punk or do people consider them "real" punk??

im just wondering because i really like their music and usually i like pop punk like greenday or i like metal but they arent metal. i usually dont like "real punk" exept for the sex pistols and the clash and the ramones
 
NOFX influenced "real" punk. Pop punk is fake punk. Dunno why you put quotes on real. Real punk is just called punk, or do you call food "Real" food and pictures of food pop food? Stupid metaphor, but it basically conveys my point.

Why? Because pop means popular. Punk means deviated from the norm in terms of music. Pop and punk don't go together. NOFX is just punk, flat out. Don't worry about stupid sub-genres.
