What greeting should I use for my cover letter?

I'm applying at a neurology clinic, and I really really want this job because my friend works at a pediatric clinic in the same building. The job announcement said to submit resume to the office manager. I've read lots of job-hunting articles, so I know that it's better to use someone's name in the greeting. I called the clinic, but the receptionist only knew the office manager's first name. Obvioiusly, I didn't want to p1ss off the gatekeeper by demanding that she find out her last name. Which greeting is better: "Dear Ashley:" or "To the Office Manager:"? I'm afraid that "Dear Ashley:" is too informal. On the other hand, using her name would show that I did my homework and I really want the job. Thanks!

Can you not find it out online at all? I guess not you sound quite clever so I wont waste your time I advise you giving them a quick call and just say your applying for a position and would like the last name of the office manager. They can hardly say no, failing that use the standard. To whom it may concern:
