What has a better future ? VMware or Citrix? I am new to the server technology...

..., i have learned Windows server? 2008, but these days virtualisation seems to be the way of the future, so which one should i learn, which has more scope for the future and more importantly , which one would pay me better :p
And also there are couple of sub categories in each server. I would really appreciate if someone could guide me regarding this matter.
