What is a fair price for a 2003 VW Passat?

It has 105,000 miles. It is clean inside and without any dings or dents other than a cracked exterior mirror. It drives nicely with lots of get-up-an-go in first and second gear.

The AC and other options all work.

The current asking price is 6700.00 at a Ford dealership used car lot.

It always depends on whether you are the seller or buyer. The seller wants as much as he can get for it. That is a fair price to him.
The buyer is looking for a good car for el cheapo. That is a fair price to them. Check the local papers and see what private folks are asking for their wheels of the same age and model and take the average between the (high and the low prices) asked.
