Im about to turn 17 and I have just saved enough money for a vehicle. I have about 4500 to spend. I need something with 4 or all wheel drive because I live in Colorado. something that is very dependable and reliable because I cant afford to constantly be putting money into it.
I was thinking about a 2000 ford explorer or a 2000 land rover discovery. if anyone has any experiences with these cars or would like to suggest a another car let me know. Thanks!

Neither of those is a very good choice. Your best bets are smaller SUVs with better gas milage. Honda CRV and Toyota RAV4 are much better vehicles

huyndai suv is your best bet considering the money and the two you mentioned.

never get a landrover. Parts are very expensive if anything breaks. And things break all the time. Car has a lot of problems. Trust me don't go landrover. And any suv for 4.5k is gonna do bad on gas almost. I reccomend getting a subaru since they are very good engineered. Maby a honda crv. Trust me buddy u want good mpg if you are only 17

I have a 25k car infiniti m35x awd and the thing drinks gas, but i wouldn't have got it if i couldn't pay for it. cheap suv around that price are usually gmc yukons or w.e they are.. good luck
