if your looking for a good gun to start out with i recomend vltriton2 you can buy it at wal mart it comes with a c02 tank a mask and a hopper buy a new hopper it only costs about 100 dollars for everything i have never broken a ball it is fairly accurate i use it a lot for that price it is really good i wanted to start paintballing but didnt want to spend a lot of money then not lik it so i bought this gun my friend use tippman 98 custom and i still beat them but if you lik paintballing you want a customizable gun get a tippman very durable and customizable

I would go for a tippmann a5.
I started playing 1.5 years ago because my husband kept saying try it. i went out to prove that i would not like it and that it was the guys thing.... well here we are now i play almost every weekend unless there is snow on the ground. but i did not know if i would play much in the beginning
so i got a cheep used a5 on ebay, i took it apart, (remember how to get it back together those springs can be a bear) I repainted it because it was warn.. i have slowly replaced inside parts and now have the x7 hopper, new pink paddles in the cyclone, because it is pretty... new barrels, i have 3 now. I added an egrip now i am trickin out the way it looks with MP5 stuff. i like the a5 because it is a gun that can change. everyone on my team has one and none of our guns look alike at all. My gun has been supper reliable, (sceneries and near weekly play) and i can replace anything inside of it myself. If you ever need help on maintenance putting it back together or any other paintball related questions about gear my team loves to help any paintballers with questions.

Tippmann is really the best company for a beginner or mid-level player. I would personally suggest the 98 Custom, the Project Salvo, or the Carver One (the last two are in conjunction with U.S. Army paintball). All are good guns, based off of the original 98, and will work well for many years. For a beginner, I wouldn't suggest the A-5, because if you don't know how to take care of it parts like the cyclone feed may stop working. Also, Never get a gun at walmart, period, never buy a Spyder, and stay away from BT guns like the BT tactical (which looks similar to the 98, and is essentially a cheap rip-off of it)
