what is an interesting topic about Asia?

I'm doing and assignment for Social Studies and we can do ANYTHING about Asia. I was thinking about the buddhists in Tibet or Japanese Street Style, but i want to know if there is anything that is more interesting.. if you can think of anything! please and thankss!

how about the Samurai practice of bushido (when they disemboweled themselves if they have caused dishonor during battle, they even carried a special dagger just for this purpose) its really interesting.

A good topic is how Communist China recently went in and tortured/slaughtered Tibetan religious leaders.

A good subject would be ..how people are so misinformed about China, its government, its customs, its culture and people. The only real way to make an informed decision, however is to come here, work and live amongst the people and learn from the source, what the truth is about China. Anything written about China otherwise would be mostly American style journalistic slant..
Alternatively; you could write about the fascinating world of Shaolin Kung Fu or the lesser known Wudang Kung Fu, both ancient philosophical and martial arts cornerstones.
* by the way the Tibetan people are a lot, lot, better of under Chinese rule than they were under the rule of the Monks, the Monks kept the people poor and uninformed. The Chinese government does what it thinks is best.
