Why do people, including members of my own family!, pay soooo much attention to so called celebrities. No wonder we have a credit crisis in this country - everyone wants the jet set lifestyle & uses credit to obtain it. I blame the trashy 'celeb' (and that's an overused word in my opinion) mags for fuelling the problem, not just the banks. What do you think?

because that's all America cares about so the media has to talk about them so they can have more viewers watching their programs or getting and buying their magazines

I agree. There just aren't enough intelligent people on popular television. We consider Jade Goody and Cheryl Cole to be national treasures, even though Jade has basically made her money by being a moron and Cheryl hits nightclub attendants.

I dont think that a little overspending by a few starry eyed girls was a major factor in the credit crunch. It was the governments and the banks. The recession is global.
However I agree with you about the trashy 'celebs' - real celebs are the ones who spend a lifetime being good at their career and not getting famous for getting laid and so on

lol its pathetic yes and its going to define this decade

theyll look back at us today and think what a pathetic reality tv obsessed losers

but it did not cause the credit crunch lmao
