What is one thing you know about that can hinder your growth in the grace of Christ?

You have undoubtedly seen things that hurt others, seen where it's wrong.

And you may have seen within yourself something that holds you back in your
own growth in the grace of Jesus Christ.

By our writing something we've experienced and/or seen that happens,
we can help others, and yes, help our own selves as we put all this
down into words.

It's a way to shed light on things, to make some adjustments.

I ask to bless each Christian here who is seeking to 'work out' their
own salvation.

Appreciation given.

The love of myself rather than others and God is one of the biggest if not the biggest.

It very pleasing in the mind to accept a gift for yourself even when you have abundance rather than to give it to someone else who lacks.

Education and growing intellect are the biggest hindrances since they lead to the truth and reality!

Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking.

They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren!

Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world!

Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely.

Sadly Christians, muslims and others are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!

I struggle with pride a great deal; intellectual and spiritual pride, to be specific. This sucks, honestly, because I think that spiritual pride is one of the worst affronts to God. It was spiritual pride that led Satan to his downfall and it causes me to try to take credit for the gifts that God has given me and to sometimes have a lofty opinion of myself. When I recognize it, it makes me feel dirty...stained. Having identified the problem, though, I (or We...the Holy Spirit and I) can address it on a case by case basis and break down the stronghold that it has set up in my heart and mind. I often feel I have beaten it down in one place or one set of behaviors/habits of thought...only to see it pop up somewhere else. It's like that game where the gophers pop up out of the holes and you hit em' with the mallet. My pride takes many manifestations in my life, but I typically find it to be at the core of all of my secondary flaws and maladies.

Following this world , following the media , fame and money.
Following lies and a path to self destruction that this world imposes on everyone subliminally.
