what is righteouness and is it wrong to be righteous?

Like in the bible, im reading mathew chapter 5-6 and so far its confusing, also can someone explain what mathew 5:33-37 mean i dont under stand, and does god find it wrong to be righteous, last thing but could someone also, tell me what jesus find wrong, like all that bad stuff i shouldn't do, cursing, lieing ect
