What is the best format to use from Divx to DVD??

I am trying to burn a movie. The original is in Divx. and I am using Roxio's Easy CD & DVD converter. I have already tried to burn the movie using the MPEG_ layer 3 format, but the sound is about 6 seconds faster than the picture is. What format should I use?
