What is the best season to travel to Israel?

I have traveled to Israel once during the Winter and twice during the Summer - but to me actually I think the Winter was the nicest. What do you think?

I went in the winter and it was great. I think the summer is too hot to enjoy everything, but the winter wasn't too cold. We went in the Dead Sea and hiked up Masada. That hike would have been really hard in the summer heat.

I like the heat of the summer and am not a fan of the dreary, rainy winter, but I'd have to say that the Spring is my favorite.
