My kitten is a girl and my older cat is a boy, and I was just wondering if there was any helpful tips other than opening and closing a door as this method doesn't seem to work as the just play footsies and scratch each other through the door. We have also tried holding the cats??? is that okay, if not plsss help???

The best way to do it, is to put them both in a room (you being in there) and let them fight, smell and get to know each other.

If you feel they are getting too vicious then seperate them, both in a seperate room, and then introduce them too each other again. This process may take a while, but eventually they will be fine; considering they are both male and female.

I have 2 cats, both males. I introduced my cat who is now 12 to a younger cat who is now 3 they still fight now, but theyv'e learnt to live with each other.

Definately, supervise them so the kitten doesn't get hurt. Take it slow until the kitten can defend itself.

Same situation with my female kitten and 2 Yr old male cat. What worked with us was just to introduce them to eachother slowly, but careful. This is what worked for us... Good Luck!

I would try bonding them together. Like playing with them both at the same time, or feeding them at the same time. So they get used to eachother.
