...already another dog? I have a four year old Staffy female (neutered) who has been brought up with another dog which i've recently had to have put asleep through old age. I am collecting an 8 week old Staffy male next week and was just wondering on what other peoples thoughts were on introducing the two dogs to each other.

Do it in a neutral area at first - like outside. Your dog may be more protective of her space at home if you just brought the new dog in the house. So make sure she meets the new pup outside - then once you see that they're okay together, bring him in.
If that doesn't go over so well, you'll need to keep the pup at arms length for awhile until your dog realizes that she needs to respect the new member of the family.
Generally with dogs its a lot easier to introduce them to a puppy - especially if the adult dog is used to having a companion in the house (which you stated she had).
